Have you ever tried to make a tunisian crochet project? It’s not as hard as you might think! This tunisian crochet cardigan is the perfect beginner project.

I designed this tunisian crochet cardigan with beginners in mind. I wanted you to have something beautiful to wear that wasn’t super hard and overwhelming to make.

The tunisian crochet coffee cardigan features the tunisian knit stitch, basic color block striping, and ribbing along the hemlines at both the body panels and the sleeve cuffs.

Tunisian Cardigan Pattern Notes:

I highly recommend you watch part 1 of the video tutorial to see exactly how to complete the stitch, work the ribbing and change your colors seamlessly.

video is linked below

This design is worked in 5 total panels each beginning at the bottom and being worked upwards.

You also have the option of adding a collar up and around the front two panels and neck area.
This is explained in the part 2 video along with how to seam the garment with an invisible seam.

Multiple sizes are available in this pattern pdf so please read through the sizes to determine which size you would like to make!

Finishing Your Tunisian Crochet Cardigan

This is the fun part. The part where all of your hard work has paid off and you’re almost ready to start sporting your newest make!

For this design, I’ve opted to create a video covering all the seaming. Often times I find beginners struggle with the words of “how to seam” so I wanted to alleviate any questions and simply show you by doing it myself in a video format.

The seaming video can be found in the description of PART 1 of the coffee cardigan which is linked at the beginning of this post.

I hope you enjoy making this design and be sure to tag me on social media so I can see your finished coffee cardigans @yarnhookneedles

I was hoping you would of had the second video done by the time I was ready to sew my cardigan together. Wasn’t sure if I can figure it out, but I’m going to try. Thank you this patterning

Hi there! I LOVE this cardigan and have almost all of my pieces/panels made…but I cannot find the seaming/finishing post or YouTube video for the life of me. Am I looking in the wrong places? If it is a pattern that needs to be purchased I will gladly buy it, I just need to be directed to it. 😊

Thank you very much for sharing your talents and skills with us! I have had a blast stitching this cardigan up and if I can actually put it together it’ll be my first successful Tunisian cardigan- so exciting!

Thanks again, I hope you and your family are safe, healthy, and happy during these trying times!

    Have a wonderful day,

Is video 2 coming out soon? I’m ready to put this all together but would be more comfortable if I have a video 🙂

Hello!!! I can’t wait to try this pattern, it looks like a really nice finished project! I was wondering though… I thought about doing it with the full stitch/gobelin stitch instead because of the yarn I have, but am struggling to change the gauge to match with a thicker yarn and different stitch. Is there any way you can tell me how long and wide the panels are? Even if it’s just measuring your own sweater, it would help me get an idea of where to start. Thank you so much for sharing this pattern, and for uploading the helpful video too!

Your part 2 “seaming” video is not linked in the description section of the part 1 video as you have stated. I was considering purchasing the pattern on Etsy, but I am not sure now with the missing video. I do hope all is well with you. I’m a new subscriber to you YouTube channel. I wanted to give Tunisian crochet a try and came across your cardigan video. You have great content and great teaching!
