GAUGE:

6.5rows = 1” squared (includes standard reverse row)
3TKS = 1” squared

Skill level: Beginner
Tunisian Hook Size: 6.5mm (my favorite hooks)
Yarn: size 4 yarn in appr. 1050 yards ( I used hobby lobby ‘I Love This Yarn’)
Tapestry Needles
Scissors

Abbreviations:
Tks (Tunisian knit stitch)
Tinc (Tunisian increase)

Tunisian Simple Shawl Pattern:

CH 2

R1 – In the 2nd CH from the hook, you will insert your hook, yarn over and draw up a loop. Leaving two loops on your hook.

R2 – standard reverse row (Yarn over draw through one loop. *Yarn over draw through 2 loops. * repeat from * to * until you have 1 loop remaining on your hook).

R3 – TKS (tunisian knit stitch) into the next stitch. TINC (tunisian increase).***see video above for further instructions*** Tunisian stitch into the last stitch.

R4 – standard reverse row

R5 – *TKS across* until two stitches remain. TINC. Tunisian stitch into the last stitch.

R6 – standard reverse row

R7 – R178: repeat rows 5 & 6

COLOR CHANGE (OPTIONAL)

R179 – 198: repeat rows 5 & 6

COLOR CHANGE (OPTIONAL)

R199 – 274: repeat rows 5 & 6

COLOR CHANGE (OPTIONAL)

R275 – 302: repeat rows 5 & 6

COLOR CHANGE (OPTIONAL)

R303 – 350: repeat rows 5 & 6

R351 (closing row) *TKS, yarn over pull through 2 loops. Repeat from * across ending with a yarn over pull all the way through on your last stitch. Tie off and weave in your ends.
