Are you looking for a fun way to decorate this Fall?
Crochet EyeBall Pillow
Today we are sharing a super fun eyeball pillow! It is perfect for adding a fun to the sofa, front porch or wherever you might see it!
This pattern is very simple and easy to make. You can create your own variation by changing out the eye color, adding veins or leaving them off.
Below I will link you to all the supplies and yarn I used to create this project, so be sure you get everything in time for the holidays!
- 6.5MM hook (get the ones I used here)
- 1 skein each of white, black and green yarn (get the yarn I used from Lion Brand)
- 18″ pillow round insert (get the insert I used here)
- Tapestry needles (get a great deal on 20 here)
CH – chain
HDC – half double crochet
HDC2tog – half double crochet 2 together
SL ST – slip stitch
This pillow starts with a magic circle and goes through three color changes.
Increase and Decrease Rows
You will crochet increase rows and then 2 edging rows before you begin decreasing as you make your way down the back of the pillow. You will sew the remainder section of the pillow closed with your tapestry needle.
You have the option of adding red veins to the pillow or you can leave them be if you are using it to decorate a monster themed boy’s room or playroom.

Seaming Your Pillow
At this point, you have closed your pillow cover and now you will use your tapestry needle and the long tail to sew the small opening closed. Simply weave the tail in and out of the top stitches and then pull tight. Be careful not to pull too tight as you will break your yarn. You will take the remainder of the tail and weave it in and out so as to secure the stitches. Tie off and weave in the remainder of the tail.
I chose to leave the veins off but you wanted to create a more spooky look, you could add some red veins.
