I hope you had a great weekend. We spent the day relaxing with family. It was a good, restful day!
Today I am sharing with you this super fun crochet wall hanging. I was inspired by some pretty amazing yarn I purchased from WeAreKnitters.com The yarn is a part of their line called, THE WOOL.
The speckles of color make you smile!
They are so bright and absolutely stunning in person.
Because of this yarns thickness, you will be delighted at how quickly this piece works up!
I even created a video tutorial explaining exactly how I attached the yarn to the dowel rods and added the fringe.

Materials:
P Hook
5 balls of THE WOOL from WeAreKnitters
2 dowel rods
Scissors
Tapestry needle
Gauge: 8 stitches x 4 rows = 4 square inches
Abbreviations:
CH – chain
ST – stitch
DC – double crochet
SS – star stitch
***CH 3. In the 2nd CH from the hook insert your hook, YO and draw up a loop. Insert your hook into the next stitch, YO and draw up a loop. Insert your hook into the base chain of the chain 3, YO and draw up a loop. Insert your hook into the next stitch, YO and draw up a loop. YO draw through all 5 loops. Chain 1.
Pattern Notes:
This design is made using THE WOOL from WeAreKnitters. If you do not have access to this yarn, you can replace it with Lion Brand Woolease Thick & Quick or any other size 5 or 6 yarn.
You also have the option of omitting the second dowel rod. Please feel free to customize this wall hanging as much as you would like!

PATTERN:
Row 1 – Around the dowel rod you will place 46 SC
Row 2 – CH 3 and continue with SS (star stitch) all the way across. CH 3. Turn.
Row 3 – Place 1 DC into the “eye” of each SS.
Row 4 – 19 : repeat rows 2 & 3
***optional row
Row 20 – SC around the bottom dowel rod. Tie off.
OPTIONAL FRINGE:
Cut 4” – 5” strips of yarn. Tie on at the base of the DC rows. Trim as needed.
