The Rugby Throw Pattern Using LB WoolEase Thick & Quick!

Hi, friends!

I’ve been working hard putting together a fun blanket which I believe will become your new favorite. This is the Rugby Blanket pattern.

A beautiful throw made using the ever-so-lovely LionBrand WoolEase Thick and Quick will be your next weekend project for sure.

MATERIALS:

5.5 skeins of color 1 (Raisin by Lion Brand WoolEase Thick and Quick)

4 skein of color 2 (Oatmeal by Lion Brand WoolEase Thick and Quick)

GET THE LB YARN HERE!

***If you decide to use a different yarn you will essentially need 1,007 yards of materials.

 

P (11.5MM) Hook

PATTERN NOTES:

You can easily substitute other yarns. Simply maintain a size 6, Super Bulky yarn and everything should work out perfectly!

You can also dress up this blanket by adding:

– over-sized corner tassels

– fringe

– pompoms

The Gauge:

2 stitches X 1 row = 1 square inch

THE PATTERN:

 

CH 102

Row 1 – (COLOR 1) SC in the 3rd CH from the hook. *Work (SC,CH 1, DC) into the next stitch. Skip next 2 sts. Repeat from * all the way across ending with a SC in the last stitch. CH 2. Turn.

Row 2 – (COLOR 1) Skip first 2 sts. *Work (SC, CH 1, DC) into the CH 1 space of the previous row. Skip next 2 sts. Repeat from * all the way across ending with a SC in the last stitch. CH 2. Turn.

Row 3 –  REPEAT ROW 2

Remaining rows are a repeat of row 2. Below is the color change pattern for creating the exact same blanket!

Row 13 – 16

Row 31 – 34

Row 39 – 57

Row 62 – 65

Row 72 – 82

(COLOR 2)

Row 9 – 12

Row 17 – 30

Row 35 – 38

Row 58 – 61

Row 66 – 71
