The other day I shared a simple pattern for making a cowl with a tiny twist stitch. I named it the Atty Cowl in honor of my oldest daughter who so willingly modeled said cowl for me.

After making the Atty Cowl my second oldest daughter asked for me to make something along the same lines for her.
I started looking for a fun and unique crochet stitch and that is when I discovered the faux fur stitch. It was super easy to work up and I was very happy with the end result! I think this keyhole styled scarf would look great in an adult size too!
WHAT I USED:
- size H hook
- 1 skein of yarn
- scissors
- tapestry needle
The texture is simply divine with this particular pattern! I absolutely love it! Some other ideas I have with creating projects using this pattern are…
- Rug for the Nursery
- Couch Throw using a SUPER soft yarn
- Throw Pillow
- And Adult Scarf or Cowl
I even thought making some kind of a beanie with it would be quirky and fun. Especially for the boys!
THE PATTERN:
Using an H hook CH 83 ( you don’t need a multiple of anything you can CH as many as the project you’re making will need)
R1 – SC in 2nd CH from the hook and then continue all the way across; CH 1; Turn
R2 – SC all the way across, CH 1, Turn
R3 – (RIGHT SIDE) Working in the FLO (front loop only) of each ST, SC in the first SC; * Ch 6, SC in next ST;, rep from * all the way across; CH 1, Turn
R4 – Working in the unused loops or the back loops of R3, SC all the way across, CH 1, Turn
R5 & 6 – SC all the way across, CH 1, Turn
R7-16 You will continue with a repeat of rows 3-6. BE SURE to end your work with a repeat of row 4.
Once you go through the row repeat about two times you will pretty much have it memorized! It’s very easy to work up and does so rather quickly.
