Who doesn’t love a simple, quick project that makes people stop you and say, “Where did you buy that?”. Today’s pattern will provide exactly that for you!

I am loving quick projects which look expensive but are anything but! I am going to be sharing as many as I can before the extreme, cold weather takes over us all. Shout out to my maker friends in Canada already being dumped with TONS of snow!

For this pattern, you won’t need more than an hour. Once you work through the pattern I can guarantee you will be able to produce 2 – 3 over the course of 60 minutes. Feel free to add this pattern to your market item list or even your last minute Christmas gifts.

MATERIALS:

size N (10MM) crochet hook

1 skein chunky yarn

tapestry needle

scissors

CROCHET TERMS:

CH (chain)

HDC (half double crochet)

ST (stitch)

SL ST (slip stitch)

PATTERN: US TERMS

CH 11

R1- In the 3rd CH from the hook place a HDC. Continue with HDC all the way across. CH 2. Turn.

R2 – (CH 2 counts as first HDC) Place a HDC in each ST all the way across. CH 2. Turn.

R3- 25: Repeat row 2. At the end of R25 you will tie off leaving a large tail for sewing your ends together.

SEAMING TOGETHER:

Here is where we are going to place a Mobius twist into the band. If you’re not familiar with the Mobius strip here is what I mean. You will take both ends, and instead of folding them together flat (like how you would fold a piece of paper in half) you will take one end and twist it. Then you will take your long tail, line up the ends and SL ST the band together.

Once you are done you will tie off and weave in your ends.

I love the texture this Mobius twist offers to the headband! I also designed this piece to be a little larger than normal so that you would be able to hide Day 5 hair while at the same time wear a snuggly piece skiing the slopes in Colorado. Simple. Quick. Luxurious.

Is there a video showing how to make the twist at the end? Instructions not clear enough for me. Need to see how this is done. Thanks!
