Since we are right on the cusp of Spring I thought it only appropriate to design for you all an amazing piece which would transition you from cold Winter nights into windy Spring and cool Summer days.
This piece is named The ZaraTunic because Zara actually means transition. Fun huh?

SEAMING:
Lay your 2 panels together with both your front and back panels laying right sides together.
Seam the shoulders together leaving about 36 stitches between the shoulders to create an opening for your head.
For your armholes you will want to leave about 12- 18 inches open. Take your measuring tape and measure from the top down. Place a stitch marker here and do the same thing on the other side.
Take your tapestry needle and sew from your stitch maker down to the bottom of the garment. Do this on both sides. Tie off and weave in your ends.
Once you are done, flip your garment right side out and you are done!

Love this pattern. If i wanted to use a different brand of yarn could I? What size yarn do i need to use?
Jerica
You can most certainly use whichever yarn you would like 🙂
Some comparable yarns would be CARON simply soft or a larger size 3 yarn or smaller size 4. Let me know if you have any other questions!

Hello!!!
I grew up crocheting from graphs and I am still learning to read the “american way”. Would you have the graph for this amazing pattern. Thank you SO VERY MUCH!
Julie
Hi Marisa, Unfortunately, I currently do not have a graph for this pattern. If you would like to give it a go anyways, then please know you can always find help for my patterns in my Facebook community group… https://www.facebook.com/groups/109380736230440/

Hi! I love your pattern and am trying to make it as a Christmas present, but I’m having a little trouble with the gauge. It says 6 rows of 12 stitches. Does that mean to follow the pattern for the first 6 rows but only make it 12 stiches wide? I tried that and wound up with something wider than 4 inches. Thanks in advance for your help!
Julie
Hi Molly, To make a gauge swatch you’ll want to crochet a chain of 5+3 (the pattern multiple) and you’ll want the chain to be longer than 4 inches. I would recommend chaining 23, then work the pattern for more than 6 rows (at least 8). You’ll end up with a gauge swatch that is larger than 4in x 4in, but within that swatch you will want to measure an 4 square inch area (2in x 2in) in several places on the swatch and within that area you should see 12 stitches and 6 rows. If you see more or less that that then you’ll need to adjust your hook size. Please join us in our Facebook group if you have any more questions.
