Hi there friend!
I am so pumped to be finally releasing the Cara Cardi with you! It has been a dream design for over two years now and I am thrilled to finally have birthed this labor of love!
DON’T HAVE TIME TO MAKE THE CARA CARDI RIGHT NOW? PIN THE IMAGE BELOW TO SAVE IT FOR LATER!
The Cara cardi is a one size fits most and it is so easy to adjust to be larger or smaller.
My testing team had alot of fun with this design as we worked through different aspects of the design.
Made in just 3 panels this cardi will quickly become your favorite pattern to make this year!

SHOULDER SEAMING:
Lay back panels right side up.
Lay front panels wrong side down layered in top of the back panel so that the shoulders meet.
Sew tops of the front panels to the top of the back panel together form the outside to inside (arm opening towards neck) to form the shoulder seam.
SIDE SEAMING:
Lay cardi flat and inside out.
Measure armhole opening appr. 9-12 inches down from the shoulder seam and mark that stitch. ***be sure to leave is open a considerable amount for a nice flowy look!
Seam side of front panel to side of back panel together from the bottom of the cardi to the marked armhole stitch.
Repeat on other side.
I really hope you enjoy making the Cara Cardi! It’s such a staple piece that every gal needs in her wardrobe!
It’s so versatile and great to wear on date night, running errands or lounging by the pool.

Is Boye the only one that makes a 5.25 mm hook? If not, what one do you use please?
Julie
I think so, it’s the only one that I have come across and the one that I use.
Louise Bailey
Thanks so much, that will save some time.
Cindy
I love this Cardi. Can I use another type of yarn? No Cotten and I can’t go out. Thank you
Cindy
If I follow your exact pattern what size would it fit. I am 5’ 3” and 160. Should I add more chains to make it bigger or subtract to make smaller. Thank you
Julie
Hi Cindy, The model has very similar measurements to yourself, if you like the big, cozy, and flowy look, then I would recommend making it the exact same as in the pattern. If you have any questions or would like to talk more about customizing this piece, then please feel free to email me at hello.yarnhookneedles@gmail.com or join our Facebook group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/YHNstitchsocial/), where I can almost always be found;) Happy crocheting!

Love your work

Aww, thank you 🙂

How long did this take you to make?

How long does this take to complete?

Do I count right: 14 clusters for each front panel and 28 for the back? So there would be no space for the neck… the cardi is gorgeous!
