Caron Simply Soft Scarf Using Just 1 Skein, UK Terms

MATERIALS:

  • 5mm (H) size crochet hook
  • 1 skein Caron Simply Soft in the color of your choice (Soft Pink pictured)
  • scissors
  • tapestry needle

  • CH (chain)
  • SL (slip stitch
  • DC (double crochet)
  • TR (treble crochet)
The Perfect 1 Skein Project. A Simple Crochet Scarf!

PATTERN NOTES:

I tend to place a twist in my infinity scarves because of the added dimension it provides. If this scarf needs to be longer you can easily add another skein or half of a skein on. SL ST the ends together either with or without the twist.

The Perfect 1 Skein Project. A Simple Crochet Scarf!

Caron Simply Soft Scarf Pattern:

CH 37

R1 – place 2 TR in the 4th chain from the hook. Skip the next stitch. DC into the next stitch. *skip the next stitch. Place 3 TR into the next stitch. Skip the next stitch. Place a DC into the next stitch. Repeat from * across to the last 3 stitches. You will skip the next stitch. Place 2 TR into the next stitch and place 1 TR into the last stitch. CH 1. Turn.

R2 – DC into the same stitch as your CH 1. DC into the next stitch. * CH 1 and skip the next stitch. TR into the next stitch. CH 1 and skip the next stitch. DC into the next stitch. Repeat from * across until the last stitch. You will place a DC into the last stitch. CH 3. Turn.

R3 – (chain 3 counts as TR) place 2 TR into the next stitch. Skip the next stitch. DC into the next stitch. *skip the next stitch. Place 3 TR into the next stitch. Skip the next stitch. Place a DC into the next stitch. Repeat from * across to the last 3 stitches. You will skip the next stitch. Place 2 TR into the next stitch and place 1 TR into the last stitch. CH 1. Turn.

R4 – end of skein: repeat rows 2 and 3. Tie off leaving a long tail.

SEAMING TOGETHER:

To connect this scarf together, you will simply SL ST the ends.
