Today’s pattern is a super easy pattern for a gorgeous knitted rib cowl which can be worn two ways. You will love how quickly this cowl works up, and even if you don’t know how to crochet you can purchase one for yourself in my Etsy Shop!
I don’t know what it is this year about cowls, but, I have fallen in love with them. They are so fun and easy to make and usually, I will wear a cowl with a long sleeve shirt and no jacket and I’m still warm.
They are perfect too for dressing up an outfit with little to no effort. Now as a mama this is ALWAYS a nice thing!
If you’ve never worked on circular needles before, I highly recommend trying this project out on them! I enjoy making cowls on circular needles rather than straight. It allows for your project to be stronger as a continuous piece rather than sewing ends together. I feel like it makes the work stronger.
It also makes for an easier pattern because you don’t have to worry about “right side” “wrong side” issues. For this pattern, it’s the same thing over and over until you run out of yarn. You really don’t have to think about it at all!
WHAT I USED:
- 2 skeins of Caron Simply Soft Party Yarn (I held the strands together to make a “chunkier” yarn)
- 10 MM circular needs
- Tapestry Needle
- Scissors
THE PATTERN:
Cast On 106
Working in the round you will work 2K, 2P continuously until you run out of yarn. ***Be sure to leave enough yarn to do a traditional bind off.
Then you’re done! It’s literally that simple!
Now if you don’t know how to knit but you would still love to have this cowl or one in a custom color, head over to my Etsy Shop and check out my handmade items!
