Today’s Knitting Stitch is a simple combination of knits and purls. You will love how easily this works up! No counting required! Plus, I’m going to be sharing with you very soon a baby blanket pattern from this exact stitch!
If we aren’t already friends on Ravelry, head over and check out my profile. I’m looking to review/complete a lot of the projects on there throughout the 2017 year. I am hoping to add pdf versions of all of my patterns on there too for only $1.25!
While all my personal patterns are offered for free on my site, sometimes it’s easier to get your hands on a printable, ad-free version!
Now on to the stitch pattern!
WHAT I USED:
- size 13 needles
- chunky (5) yarn
Cast on as many stitches as you need for your project
Using a 4-row repeat continue with the following…
R1 – Knit
R2 – Purl
R3 – Knit
R4 – Knit
Work these 4 rows for as long as your work requires.
– baby blanket
– giant knit blanket if using roving
– slouchy cowl
– a slouchy hat worked in the round
There are a ton of different creative options you could make! Even a sweater would be beautiful if you understood how to design knitted garments. I’m not at that level of pattern design but I hope to be some day!
Be sure to subscribe to the YHN site so you can receive our FREE weekly newsletter containing all the week’s patterns, projects and more! Plus, you’ll receive a sneak peek at what to expect the following week!
